Trustees Re-elect Mrs. Dunne President and Ms. Martinez Vice President
Both Begin 3rd Consecutive Terms in Leadership Posts

(May 9, 2007) In a unanimous vote at its May 8th Annual Meeting, the Trustees of the Yonkers Board of Education re-elected Mrs. Bernadette Dunne as president and Ms. Debra Martinez as vice president. Both will serve one-year terms in their leadership posts.

Mrs. Dunne is the senior member of the Board, originally appointed as a Trustee in May of 1995. Ms. Martinez was appointed to a four-year term in 2004. She was elected Vice President in May 2005, May 2006 and May 2007.

The Yonkers Board of Education is the official policy making body of the School District.The Trustees are appointed by the Mayor and serve without pay. Their time, energy and expertise are voluntary. The Trustees are:
