Honors for District Calendar and TV Program

The Yonkers Public Schools Public Information Department has been recognized for its communication initiatives as an award recipient in the Annual Communications Contest of the New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA), one of the largest competitions in the nation. The contest recognizes excellence in school communications, with entries judged by a distinguished panel of professionals from around the country.

The gorgeous, information packed annual calendar and handbook, and the WDMC-TV produced "Yonkers Public Schools Update" won NYSPRA honors this year. The Public Information Department was also recognized for excellence by the National School Public Relations Association earlier this year. The 2005-2006 calendar and handbook and the WDMC-TV produced "It's A Family Affair", were recognized as among the best examples of school communications in the country.
