An intergenerational art exhibit, “Passport to Yonkers,” exalts the talents of Yonkers Public Schools students and Yonkers senior citizens. Over 80 paintings, drawings and reliefs will be on display in the event space of the Yonkers Riverfront Library on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 through Friday, June 29, 2007.

A gala opening reception, open to the public, takes place on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the Riverfront Library. Guests can meet the artists and join the excitement as the artists are honored for their outstanding work.

The Passport to Yonkers Art Exhibit is sponsored by the Yonkers Public Schools, Jewish Council of Yonkers, the Yonkers Public Library, City of Yonkers Mayor’s Office, City of Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, and Elder Craftsmen, Inc. The exhibit celebrates the diversity of the many different groups and individuals who make up the City of Yonkers.

The Riverfront Library is located at One Larkin Center in Yonkers.
