International Baccalaureate Organization Authorizes Pulaski School Primary Years Programme
The Casimir Pulaski School has become the second elementary school in Yonkers to be authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Pulaski joins the Rosemarie Ann Siragusa School as two of the six schools in New York State to hold this elite designation. Yonkers High School has been an International Baccalaureate Diploma School (IB) since 2001, and the Yonkers Middle School has an application in process for the Middle Years Programme.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers rigorous programs of international education to a worldwide community of schools.
Authorization to become an IB School is an intensive process that typically takes two or more years and includes site visits by an IB team.
A regular process of evaluation is undertaken by schools that have been authorized.
