Realtors Breakfast Strengthens Partnership

"Everyone saw today that tremendous progress has been made in this school district, " said the CEO of the Westchester County Board of Realtors P. Gilbert Mercurio. He was one of more than 80 real estate professionals who came to Yonkers Middle/High School for a briefing and a bite yesterday morning.

The Realtors Breakfast, an outreach initiative of the Yonkers Public Schools, was designed to strengthen the partnership between the real estate agencies serving the city of Yonkers, and the school district.

Superintendent of Schools Bernard P. Pierorazio said area realtors need to know what a wonderful system we have, where students are achieving and succeeding. He presented a PowerPoint snapshot of the district, outlining our goals, financials, accomplishments, initiatives, areas in need of improvement and plans for the future. “I learned a lot,” was the pleased reaction of Tameka Jones Neville, an agent at Cross County Center Realty.

The realtors were greeted by a quartet of student musicians, and student leaders later escorted them on a personalized tour of the school.
