Amarilys D. 11 Lincoln High My thought about President elect Barack Obama is very excited but a little worried at the same time. I feel that everyone is too dependent on this one person. Everyone expects him to be perfect and fix all the problems. Suppose he fails or makes a mistake? Everyone would panic and worry if their decison in voting for Barack Obama was a very good idea.

Bart L.   Saunders I think that this inaugration of Obama is a very historical one. It shows that anybody can become whatever they want to be as long as they work hard for it. To many African Americans this is very historical because to go from slaves and now they are looking at a African American president --- it is truly astonishing. Kids can look up to Obama as their inspiration, and they can accomplish anything they want as long as they work hard for it.
Bayan 10 Yonkers High Yonkers High School was sincerely lucky today to watch the Inauguration today, and I, like the hundreds of students that were witness to one of America's biggest turning points, and felt the joy and awe of the moment.

Many people are forgetting that there is a possible chance of him failing. We tend to forget that everyone is human and we all make mistakes.
Josephine A. 11 Lincoln High Students like me will look back at this inauguration 50 years from now as a defining moment they thought would never happen. I will tell my kids and grandkids that is was so good and the best feeling ever and I wish I was in Washington DC to withness the swearing in.

We had our own class elections and we formed five paragragh essays explaining how we would change our country if we ran for president.
