Week of 1/4/10 Applications mailed to families of currently enrolled:
- 8th graders
- 6th graders at Montessori elementary schools
- Newly registered students for September 2010
Wed 1/6/10 - Sat 1/23/10 Families submit applications
Completed applications may be hand delivered or postmarked on/before January 23, 2010 to the Information Center, 28 Wells Avenue, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 9 and January 23 from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Applications are accepted at all Yonkers public schools.

The Yonkers Public Schools is committed to a School Choice Process that is open and equitable to everyone.
Parents have an opportunity to submit a School Choice Application for any Yonkers public school.
School Choice Applications will be mailed the week of January 4, 2010 to all currently enrolled 8th graders, 6th graders at Montessori elementary schools and newly registered students for September 2010.
New students for September 2010 who have not already done so, must register now. Parents should call the Information Center at
914-376-8050 to schedule an appointment.
PreK-Grade 5 Elementary Schools Expand to Grade 6 in September
Currently enrolled 5th graders at 15 PreK-Grade 5 schools will remain at their schools as 6th graders under a plan announced by the Superintendent at the November Board of Education meeting. Middle schools will house 7th and 8th graders only.

Parents, if you have a three-year-old at home, register him or her for school now so you can participate in the School Choice Process for September 2010, which takes place next month. To be eligible for PreK in September, children must be four years of age by December 1, 2010, and residents of Yonkers at the time of registration. >> Learn more!
