SkillsUSA Community Service Champions Honored in Albany
Daquan Gary, Sashay Turner and Yarelis Borrero made up the team of students who won first place in the NYS SkillsUSA Community Service competition earlier this spring. This first class group
was honored in the state capitol for their leadership and community service working with My Sister’s Place in Yonkers and the advocacy and awareness programs they developed about dating and domestic violence. They were also featured on the Legislative Report, the New York State Senate cable television show with Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins. It's a fascinating 20 minutes, so please watch.
