Lincoln students at Drexel University
Fifty of Lincoln High School’s top-performing juniors arrived at school especially early the morning of Monday, June 18, wide-awake and ready to board a bus bound for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Students selected from a Lincoln group known as the “Relentless Dreamers” were embarking on a journey to visit four of the excellent schools in the Philadelphia area.
The trip, arranged by Eleventh-grade Assistant Principal Jannette Swanson, brought students on tours of the campuses of the University of Pennsylvania, La Salle University, and Temple University, and a quick view of Drexel University. Students returned weary but excited, loaded with information and focused on their goals for college admissions.
Chaperones for the tour included Angela Arias, Smaller Learning Communities Coordinator, Arts Industry Academy Chair Cecilia Myers, and teachers Ellen Harper and Kyle James.
