“We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the daily small differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.”

(August 15, 2012) Following a brief summer break, Yonkers Public Schools corps of building administrators began the 2012-2013 school year at an intense half-day summit with Superintendent of Schools Bernard P. Pierorazio.
Principals and assistant principals packed the Hudson River Museum where the Superintendent welcomed them back, and then focused on the leadership role each has in bringing students to the highest level of achievement.
Trustees of the Board of Education and central office administrators were also on hand, helping the school leaders hit the ground running. They are now in their respective buildings, getting ready for teachers and students, and a successful year of meaningful learning.
