The Yonkers Public Schools emphasizes communication with parents as significant to the successful education of children, focusing on the resolution of concerns as particularly important.
With this in mind, the District asks you to use the following three-step process by which you may contact your child’s school or Board of Education Central Office Departments:
- If the concern is classroom related, telephone your child’s teacher to discuss the concern or to schedule a meeting. If necessary, you may dial 376-8000 for the telephone number of your child’s school, or use the directories in the For Your Information box above.
- If the concern is not addressed by contact with the teacher OR if the concern is not classroom related, telephone the school’s main office to discuss the concern or to schedule a meeting with the school administration: assistant principal, where available, or directly with the principal.
- If the concern is not addressed by contact with the school administration OR if the concern is not school related, telephone the appropriate Board of Education Central Office Department:
