Board of Education Policy Manual

One of the most important statutory responsibilities of any board of education is the development of policies that govern every aspect of a school district. This Policy Manual of the Yonkers Board of Education is the result of a multi-year comprehensive review of all existing policies, which is ongoing.

Policies and their related regulations that are listed in bold type in the Table of Contents have been adopted by the Board, and are available to view. Policies in the Table of Contents that appear in plain type are scheduled for review and adoption, and do not appear in the document.
