Mr. Paresh Patel

Paresh Patel was elected President of the Board of Education in June 2010. He was appointed to the Board of Education in November 2008.  As President, Mr. Patel is an ex-officio member of all Board committees.

Mr. Patel is a Superintendent of Planning and Production for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s New York City Transit Division, his employer for two decades.  He earned a Master of Engineering (Electrical), and certification as a Physician Assistant, Bachelors of Science from City College of the City University of New York. 

The father of two children enrolled in the Yonkers Public Schools, Mr. Patel and his wife have lived in Yonkers for more than 20 years.
