Reading/Writing

• All subjects are taught with a strong emphasis on literature, the writing process, and current events
  
• Teachers develop thematic units supported by diverse reading materials
  
• Students have the opportunity to participate in over 20 different Newseum clubs that explore news based topics and career themes, and publish a student written and produced school newspaper
  
• The Kahlil Gibran Library serves as a hub for literature appreciation, enrichment and research using Smartboards and technology tools
