Career Education

  • The instructional program supports the development of positive self-image, proficiency in basic skills, creativity and problem-solving
  • Through career studies, students learn the relationship of their academic subjects to careers, job characteristics and required skills • Student-learn the fundamentals of economics in collaboration with the Junior Achievement Program and business volunteers
  • Career programs demonstrates students’ knowledge and skills, and promotes business and community involvement in the school
  • Infusion of technological advances, such as Accelerated Reader, Leap Frog and iBooks laptop computer programs
  • Cooperative learning, team planning, and team teaching
  • Literacy activities emphasizing written and spoken language and mathematics in a literature-based format across all areas of the curriculum
