Demonstration School
- A rigorous liberal arts education allows all students to develop the skills necessary to earn a living, think and act critically as responsible citizens, and continue educating themselves as life-long learners
- Students and adults are both teachers and learners
- Three modes of instruction: Didactic, Coaching, and Socratic Seminar
- Didactic mode is the acquisition of organized knowledge through such means as textbooks, lectures, and videos
- Coaching engages students in coached projects that investigate real world problems
- Seminar involves reading and studying texts, listening and responding to classmates’ comments, and thinking critically
- Great Books facilitates reading, writing about, and discussing classical literature and fine arts
- Through community service students participate in eighteen hours of service as a whole class and/or individual activity
