Working Papers
The Yonkers Public Schools issues working papers to youngsters 11 to 17 years-of-age on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Working papers are obtained at the Health Services Department located at One Larkin Center in Yonkers.
Summer hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
A student should contact the school nurse for necessary materials. Proof of age and an application signed by a parent/legal guardian are required. A school physician will perform the required physical examination if no proof of physical exam is submitted. Immunization status must be in compliance with New York State Law.
Drug Prevention Programs
- Student Assistance Services - education, prevention and intervention services related to alcohol and other drugs
- Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), Nepperhan Community Center and the YMCA also provide intervention services
- Health Education (K-12) - combining health education, drug and alcohol prevention education and AIDS education
- DARE (Grade 5) - Drug Abuse Resistance Education
