Hello students and families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Riverside High School.  My name is Ms. Soto and I will be your music teacher for this year.  I would like to send my best wishes to you and your family during this challenging time.   I look forward to share my musical experiences with you.  We will be learning about different types of music from all over the world.  You will also learn how to read and write music.  "Music is a universal language, it brings people closer together" (Ella Fitsgerald).

Music lessons enhance one's cognitive abilities: including language, reasoning, short term memory and planning.  This leads one to improved academic performance, learning and overall growth.  Playing a musical instrument helps one succeed in other subjects.

Students please download Microsoft Teams on your phone or desktop. You will see a request to join your class period in Microsoft Teams. Teams will allow us to communicate audio/video easily to assist with any questions or help with school work. Please watch this Tutorial Video on how to use Microsoft Teams for better assistance.
