As we begin Hybrid Instruction, things will change for us all. I am sharing my plans with you, but please know they might change as students' needs become more apparent.
I will post in the Teams' assignments tab the weekly work which should be accomplished on the days students are not in class, including Wednesday afternoons. It will be labeled weekly work with the Monday date. It is due Friday by 3:00.
I will also post additional nightly homework labeled with the cohort group name (A/D or B).
Students wwho are in-class or remote will receive my full attention for the vast majority of class time. They will work independently for the last half hour of class, so that I can attend to the needs or questions of students not in class.
On Wednesdays all students will attend class meetings in the morning. In the afternoon they will work on the weekly assignments. When I am not attending professional development meetings, I will be available to assist students.
I hope this information is useful and clear. If there are any questions, please contact me on Class DoJo or by e mail. I can't wait to see the kids!
This is certain to be an interesting start to the year and it is more important than ever that we work together to ensure your child's success.
Instructionally, this week will be like the start of any school year. I am hoping to get to know you and your child through emails, phone calls, and face to face meetings on Microsoft Teams. Please assist your child in navigating Teams (or - have him or her help you).
All students ALREADY have a login. Begin by logging into CLEVER.
To access CLEVER, click here.
Student login: student IDfirstname.lastname@example.org
Student password: the student's 8 digit birthdate
Once logged into CLEVER, students can scroll down to the OFFICE 365 button, and click it. That will log the student into OFFICE 365, and it'll give them access to TEAMS, WORD, ONE NOTE, etc.
Click here for a short, instructional tutorial to help with using Microsoft Teams. (Disregard the instructions in the first 30 seconds - you'll access Teams by logging in through your CLEVER account).
Click here for a more in-depth tutorial on using Teams.
Please check back periodically as this page will be updated with any new information that becomes available.
*Feel free to browse YouTube for additional resources. There are a wealth of different videos on every topic that can help students and parents feel comfortable and confident.*
