Email sent to parents
Dear Cornell families,
I am the Title I Reading teacher at Cornell for those of you who may not know me.
I wanted to reach out to all my students and their families to say I am hoping you are all feeling well and managing during these very trying times. I realize this is very hard on you and your children and we can only hope this will become a distant memory soon. Please know I am thinking about your children and miss them all very much.
As I am sure you are aware, classroom teachers and I have assignments posted in a variety of internet places. My teacher page can be found under the TCA school webpage. It is so important for your child to read every day, especially while schools remain closed. Please think about this quote, "Reading gives us someplace to go, when we have to stay where we are." It is so fitting, especially during these times.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at
firstname.lastname@example.org or via Google Voice at
if I can be of any help with assignments, or if your child wants to contact me. I would enjoy hearing from them very much.
Please stay safe and healthy and let's try to keep our heads up as best we can during these difficult times.
Virtual hugs to all...
