  • Articulation Starter S Sound 04/24/2020

Dear Students who need to target articulation,

Please print or copy it to a separate piece of paper. Fill in the chart but also follow these steps:

Step 1: Draw each story helper while using your "S" sound. Over articulate the "s" sound. Practice your "S" sounds individually and in each word FIVE times. For example: Draw Sam and say Sam 5x: Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam! Make sure you are saying /S/ in Sam...NOT Sh in Sam.

Step 2: Use the story helpers to finish writing the story for our main character, SAM.

Step 3: Include a problem. For example, Sam loved playing baseball BUT... Try to think of words that start with S. For instance, Sam loved playing baseball but he Saw that Some Silly players were Scoring low.

    Please use your own words!

Once completed, please write your name and date and submit it to

    jcanelo1@yonkerspublicschools.org

  • Articulation Starter SH Sound 04/24/2020

Dear students who need to target articulation,

Please print or copy it to a separate piece of paper. Fill in the chart but also follow these steps:

Step 1: Draw each story helper while using your "SH" sound. Over articulate the "SH" sound. Practice your "SH" sounds individually (Sh, SH,...) and for each word FIVE times. For example: Draw a picture of 'Shelly' and say Shelly 5x: Shelly, Shelly, Shelly, Shelly, Shelly! Make sure you are not saying S as in Selly and that you are saying SH - Shelly.

Step 2: Use the story helpers to finish writing the story for our main character, Shelly.

Step 3: When completing the story, make sure to add words that start with the SH sound. For example, Shelly had never been so close to a shark before. She was afraid but she shouldn't be. The clerk showed her other animals with shells at the pet store.

Make sure to use your own words.

Once completed, please write your name and date and submit it to

    jcanelo1@yonkerspublicschools.org

This is not due until Monday.

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Happy Friday.

    Best,
