• Plan for Teacher Absence

    Parents, you only need to visit this tab in the event that I am absent.

    If I will be absent, I will notify you through a family announcement on Seesaw with the assignments for the day.

     

    Day 1

    ELA

    *Rhyming game - Show a picture or object and have your child say words that rhyme with it.

    *Have your child practice writing their first and last name.

    *Read a book with your child and discuss the characters in the story.

    Math

    *Rote count 1 -10 and write the numbers in order.

    *Hold up a number card and have your child clap, jump, tap, or twist as they count to that number.

    Tech Time

    *Log on to starfall.com or abcya.com and practice K skills.

     

    Day 2

    ELA 

    *Syllable game - Show a picture or object and have your child clap the syllables.

    *Practice writing partner letters (upper and lowercase letters) Aa - Mm.

    *Read a book with your child and have your child retell the story (beginning, middle,end)

    Math

    *Make patterns - Make patterns with blocks or other manipulatives. Have your child tell you what's next and make the pattern.

    Day 3

    ELA

    *Mystery letter game - Put objects in a bag and give clues about what it is. Example: It makes the /t/sound, turtle begins with this letter, so what is the mystery letter?

    *Practice writing partner letters (upper and lowercase) Nn - Zz.

    *Read a book with your child and have your child predict the story ending.

    Math

    *Measuring objects - Cut a piece of string 12 inches long, ask your child to measure objects around the house. Ask your child if the object is longer or shorter than the string.
