Teachers of Tomorrow Grant: Summer in the City Internship

  • Become part of the Teachers of Tomorrow Summer in the City Internship Program

    Work with Yonkers Public Schools teachers and students to gain field experience (All grades 3-12).

     Upon completion of 300 hours of service Summer in the City Interns receive a $2,000 stipend (subject to taxes).

    Requirements: 

    • Full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing
    • Attending a New York State approved teacher preparation program for the Spring 2020/Fall 2020 Semesters
    • Must have completed 60 undergraduate credits and be a current student
    • Does not presently hold teacher certification in New York State
    • Official transcripts required for submission
    • A letter of recommendation from your professor on college letterhead
    • Fingerprints on file with New York State Education Department (fee is reimbursable)
    • Internship Dates: 01/06/2020 – 08/31/2021
