• Classroom Expectations: 

     

  • Classroom Policies: 

    Students will be responsible to complete all assignments (homework, classwork, tests, projects). All assignments will recieve a letter grade using the scale below. 

    ** Late Homework: If an assignment is not handed in when it is due, it is considered late. **

    Test: Tests are a major part of your grade! Study Study Study!

    Quizzes: Quizzes will be given and can help bring your grade up.

    Projects: Some of your assignments will be projects. Each of these will count as if it were a test and therefore will also be a major part of your grade. 

    ** Projects that are turned in late will lose five points for everyday they are past due. 

    Extra Credit: Extra Credit assignments will be given out throughout the units to help you boost your grade.  

    If there is no name on papers: No name, no credit! Take pride in the work you do. It is your responsibility to hand in completed, neat and clearly labeled assignments

    Absences: Attendance is extremely important! Please make every attempt to make it to school every day. You are responsible for the work that you miss.

    Assessments, writing, and projects will be scored according to their respective rubrics and based on grading scale below:

    90%-100% - A

    80%-89% - B                                       

    70%-79%- C                                      

    65%-69%- D

    •  Keep your hands to yourself 
    • Treat others the way you want to be treated
    • Be an active listener 
    • show respect to your classmates, teacher, and classroom belongings
      • Listen to your teacher and classmates. Wait your turn to talk.
    • Be responsible 
      • Come to class on time AND ready to learn. Take out your notebooks copy anything on the board and wait for instruction.
    • Be Honest
    • If you don't understand something ask for help. It's okay to make mistakes if you tried your best
    • Encourage each other and be polite.
      • try to express your opinion in a nice way. Even if you disagree, there is no need to be rude and hurtful

    ■Student of the Month Award- based on student performance in Science, Math, ELA and Social Studies. 
    ■Table points done with “pom poms”--> The table that has the most pom poms will get a prize at the end of the week
    ■Tickets- SOAR- students will earn tickets throughout the day and the student who has the most will earn a prize
