Monday, January 3rd will be the first day of remote learning. 5H has art at 8:35.

I will have our first  TEAMS meeting starting at 9:05.

Please sign onto TEAMS by 9:00 a.m.

For the students that go to reading lab, I am sure you will have a 9:00 a.m. reading lab meeting and afterwards join our 9:05 meeting.

NEW DAILY SCHEDULE (as of Monday 10/5)

 October 2, 2020 - Hybrid Update

Monday Yonkers Public Schools will begin hybrid instruction. The following are important announcements:

Cohort A - Monday & Tuesday in school (Wed. - Fri. from home)

Cohort B - Thursday & Friday in school (Mon. - Wed. from home)

Cohort D - from home 5 days.

No Lunch Boxes - please send your child with supplies (list is on School 5 website)

Lunch will be eaten in the classroom at your child's desk. Recess will be in the classroom at your child's desk.

The water fountains are off, so please send your child with a water bottle.

***Masks must be worn all day.***

(there will be scheduled mask breaks)

 Students must fill out an attestation form online EVERY DAY BEFORE ARRIVAL (on School Five website). Only for in person learning.

If you have questions, please email me as soon as possible. 

Arrival Procedure Grade 5: 

8:25-8:35 Students will line up in their designated line spot in the Courtyard on the Glen Hill side of the building.  

                 Bus students will be directed up to their designated areas.

Lunch Procedure Grade 5:

Aides will escort the students to the cafeteria to pick up their lunch and will monitor the children in the classroom for lunch and recess.

Dismissal for Grade 5:

3:05PM 5th Grade Students will be dismissed by their teachers from the Main door near the office.    Parents will  socially distance while waiting for their  children. Parents may wait out on the sidewalk on Glen Hill or Lockwood.   Once the child is dismissed everyone must leave the school grounds.

Welcome to Fifth Grade!

It is going to be an exciting year and I am very happy that you are in class!

Parents you should receive an email from me with some beginning of virtual school year information. If you haven't received the email, please email me at jhanrahan@yonkerspublicschools.org and in the subject line please put your child's first and last name. 

DAY ONE:

On Tuesday, September 8th we will have our first class meeting on Office365 TEAMS. Sign in time is 8:35 a.m. Please be patient it might take a few minutes. If you are unfamiliar with the sign in for TEAMS, you can find links and steps on our School Five page.  

In order for your child to sign in and to access Office365 TEAMS and the other digital apps, they need to first sign into CLEVER. The steps to sign in for CLEVER (and TEAMS) are as follows: the user name is your child's six digit id #@yonkerspublicschools.org and their password will be their birthday (2 digit month, 2 digit date, and 4 digit year of their birth). 

We have found that students working on computers and laptops have better access to CLEVER and Office365 TEAMS. If you are working on a mobile device it might be limiting.
