Hi!  My name is Mrs. Robbins and I have been teaching art in the Yonkers Public Schools for twenty years to students in grades Pre-K - 8th grade.

My curriculum fosters artistic learning and development by adhering to the NYS Art Standards.  Throughout the year, we will learn about different artists, styles and techniques, cultures from around the world and the elements and principles of art.  We will learn how to create portraits, landscapes, still-lifes and animals.  We will explore art using a variety of supplies that you have at home.  This list may include copy paper or drawing paper or mixed media pad, pencil, eraser and sharpener, scizzor, ruler, crayons, colored pencils and markers.  (Pastels, watercolor pan and a paint brush and tempera paints are optional)  Please save magazines for collage work.  When we return to hybrid, you will use your own supplies that you bring to art class.

We will be using Microsoft Teams to do all of our artwork and virtual learning.  Your assignments will also be posted with videos for each lesson for you to follow.
