Good Morning!!!
We will continue throughout this week to use those vocabulary words I gave on Monday. Our theme is imagination and tools.
Today's Bookflix story (or if you have your own version) is The Little Red Hen. This can be found in the animals and nature section. Please help your child to notice the different tools the Hen uses for cooking, planting, etc.  After the story please have your child draw a picture and label to the best of their ability, something they would like to cook.
We will continue looking for items that begin with Qq and working on the number 12. Please have your child practice making the letters and numbers using play dough. I am also going to give you a recipe for play dough in case you don't have any at home.
Please keep it in a zip lock bag or it will dry out and harden.
Play Dough:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon cream of tartar (you can still make play dough without this ingredient although it will harden much faster.
Food coloring
Whisk all dry ingredients together and make a well in the center. Add the water, oil and food coloring to the well and mix with a rubber spatula. When it is cool enough to touch, use your hands to further blend the ingredients.
Don't forget to discuss the tools you're using when making the dough.
Have fun and enjoy your day!
