Dear Parents,

It is my pleasure to welcome you and your children to the 2017/2018 school year. As your child’s Pre-k teacher, I would like to express my understanding of how this new experience may be difficult for many, however, you and your child will soon understand what a fun and exciting learning experience this will be!  After all, this IS School 17, "where learning is fun!"

My name is Mrs. Sayegh, and I am a licensed NYS teacher, certified from birth to grade six. Due to my multi-cultural background, I understand the concept of diversity, and take pride in maximizing each child’s individual learning potential. I am a dedicated and hardworking teacher who will bring out the very best in each one of my students.

I welcome your support and participation in your child’s education and encourage you throughout the school year to become active in creating a productive Home – School relationship. I highly suggest that you take part in School 17's outstanding PTA, and hope to see you at our upcoming Open House. (Details to follow)  As a team working together, we can ensure the optimum success for your child this school year!

A supply list has been sent home as well as posted on our School 17 website. Please label your child’s name on everything. In the upcoming weeks of school, many important forms will be sent home.  This includes emergency contact information for you to immediately fill out and send back to me with your child.
