Course Objectives

This course is a survey of world civilizations, focusing on their political, cultural, religious and economic impact on the world. The Primary objective of this course is to challenge students to grow intellectually as they investigate multiple stories that make up our history. Students will gather evidence, source, annotate, contextualize and corroborate multiple perspectives for deeper analysis and understanding of our present. In addition, students will be expected to take ownership of their metacognitive learning through an inquiry- based approach for discussions and projects.
