 Welcome to our Class Page

 A little bit about me:

I am currently teaching a (K-2) Special Class at School 17 and I have been working in Yonkers Public Schools for the last 9 years. I myself attended Yonkers Public Schools. My love of education and my dream of becoming a Teacher began at a young age and I am proud to now be working in the same district that I am a product of.

I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pace University and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education with a dual certification in Early Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities from The College Of New Rochelle.

Outside of school I love spending time with my family. I am a Mommy to one sweet and active little boy! We love reading books,  learning through play, and being outdoors in the sunshine!

My goal is to provide students with a learning environment that is welcoming, nurturing, structured, fun and most importantly, a place where each student feels comfortable and safe. I look forward to working with each of my students and their families to help each child build a love of learning and reach their full potential.

2022-2023 School Year:

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful summer and enjoyed some much needed sunshine & relaxation while keeping safe and healthy. We are certainly living through some unexpected and challenging times. Now more than ever, we need to work as a team because as the saying goes "Team work makes the dream work"!  I am excited to welcome our new students and families; Welcome!!  Ms. Maria, Ms. Rina (our classroom aides) and I are all looking forward to being with each of you! Our class uses Class Dojo to communicate so be sure to check for an invite.

Here's to a safe school year full of fun and learning!
