SPECIAL EDUCATION
Welcome to Lincoln High School!
This is my first year at Lincoln High School. I taught at Palisade Preparatory School for the past seven years. I have been a Special Education teacher for the past 25 years.
At this time all classes and assignments can be found on Microsoft Teams.
If you are using a laptop, you may log into Teams through Microsoft 365. You must use your student ID number@yonkerspublicschools.org.
If you are using your cell phone, you must first download Microsoft 365 and Word. You will then log in using your student ID number@yonkerspublicschools.org and your school password.
If you need further assistance with accessing Teams, there is a tutorial on Lincoln High School website as well as Yonkers Public Schools homepage.
If you need to contact me, I am available through TEAMS as well as my school email (ksaldi@yonkerspublicschools.org).

Course Descriptions:
ALGEBRA
This course is designed to help students develop an understanding of conceptual information needed to begin a solid foundation for algebra. It will also create a deeper understanding of the necessary skills required to solve these and future algebraic problems. Students will be given the opportunity to find success in mathematical topics that will eventually lead to success in algebra.
ENGLISH
This course is designed to help students improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking. Students will participate in a variety of class activities that help build independence and proficiency in reading while developing analytical skills. Focus will include reading closely for textual details, making evidence based claims and building evidence based arguments.
GLOBAL HISTORY/GEOGRAPHY
This course is designed to help students develop and understanding of World History and the connections of history to the present day. This is the first half of a two-year course, and upon completion, students are expected to take the New York State Regents examination in Global History and Geography. This course highlights the relationship between the geography and history of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
Environmental Studies introduces students to the biosphere and what affects it. As residents on Earth, our actions can impact the planet and the rest of its inhabitants. Just as environmental catastrophes, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions, can affect us, our actions can have major impacts on the environment. Human activities have created significant impacts for environmental health and society. In environmental studies we will examine the relationship between people and the environment as well as the interactions among all living things.
