    City youngsters 18 and under are welcome for breakfast and lunch, July 3 through August 11, 2017, when a nutritious breakfast and lunch is served at no charge, Monday through Friday.

    As a trustee of the Board of Education, Dr. Sayegh joins eight other members to represent the official policy making body of the Yonkers Public School District.  He previously served a full term, including three years as Board President.

    At the 136th Annual Meeting of the Yonkers Board of Education, the Trustees re-elected Rev. Steve Lopez and Ms. Judith Ramos Meier to serve as president and vice-president respectively. Both will serve one-year terms in their leadership posts.

    13 Reasons Why is a fictional TV-MA rated series streaming on Netflix about a teenage girl who dies by suicide. There is growing concern among mental health professionals about the content. The District is providing information resources for students and families.

    Ms. Thomas loves her work as a Museum School 25 school aide. She is an integral member of the entire school community, she goes above and beyond her assigned role, and is an unending source of support for the students, the faculty, and the administration.

    The students are participants in the Youth Mentoring Initiative for International Understanding, a collaboration of Lawrence College’s graduate writing program, the Greater New York Chapter of the Fulbright Association and Yonkers Public Schools.

    An exhibit of artwork created by students in the Yonkers Public Schools Autism Program will be on display in the Yonkers Public Library Riverfront Branch during the month of April.

  • Students are taking advantage of our Saturday School Program. It focuses on building academic skills as well as physical and social skills. Local business, other community members stepped up to provide a delicious free breakfast as well as donated bicycles to raffle off to students who attend our Saturday Program.
