Free High School Student Metro Cards for Eligible Students

Students Eligible for a Free Student Metrocard Must Submit Their Application NOW

Student MetroCard Application 2024-25 School Year

Requirements: Student must reside one and a half (1.5) miles or more from school. Student must attach a recent Budget Sheet from the Department of Social Services with the student’s name on it, home address and dated August 1st or later of current academic year

High School Students Pay for Bus Transportation to Public and Non-Public High Schools

Beginning in late August, students may purchase a discounted student MetroCard for public transportation (Bee-Line Bus) at their high school for $58.00 each month ($580 for the school year September to June).

Families who meet the District Policy (reside one and a half (1.5) miles or more from school) and provide documentation from the Department of Social Services indicating qualifying family income and complete the application, may receive public transportation free of charge.
