Yonkers Safe Stop

Together with Mayor Mike Spano and the City of Yonkers, Yonkers Public Schools announced the implementation of a new school bus safety program, called Yonkers Safe Stop. Cameras have been installed on District school buses to effectively capture stop-arm events and reduce the number of violations and injuries caused by motorists who disregard the school bus stop-arm.

First Time Riders Program Set for August 25

This special program for our PreK, and new to Yonkers Public Schools kindergarten and first graders, helps them – and their parents/guardians – start school on the right foot.

Yonkers Board of Education Appoints Dr. Luis Rodriguez Interim Superintendent

At the July 19, 2023 Board of Education Stated Meeting, the Trustees unanimously appointed Dr. Luis Rodriguez Interim Superintendent of Schools effective August 1, 2023 and ending July 31, 2024.
