NYS ELA Exam
NYS ELA Exam will start on April 11th.
Paper Exams: April 11 - April 12th
Computer Based Exams: April 11 to April 19th
Make Up Exams: April 15 - April 17th
Make sure your child gets 8-10 hours of sleep the night before the test. ·Mark testing days on your calendar to help remind you and your child when the testing will take place and plan your preparations. ·The student should eat a nutritious and filling breakfast. Avoid high-sugar cereals, which can make the student hyper and/or unfocused. ·Make sure the student is on time (if not early) on the day of testing. ·Set a backup alarm to avoid the possibility of oversleeping. ·If your child is sick please contact the school immediately to inform them. ·Try to use positive language when talking about expectations of the test. Avoid negative wording. (e.g. instead of saying “it’s a hard test so you are going to fail if you don’t study” say “it is important that you prepare yourself and try your best so you set yourself up to be successful.”) |

No infle demasiado las expectativas de su hijo(a), pero también trate de evitar palabras negativas (por ejemplo, reemplace “es una prueba difícil, entonces si no estudias vas a perder el examen” con “es importante que te prepares y pongas tu mejor esfuerzo para que tengas éxito en el examen”). |
