The 5th grade students at School 5 are participating in the Smart Kids Energy Efficiency Program. Students are learning about different forms of energy. Students have learned about renewable vs. non-renewable forms of energy. Students measure their home water temperatures (using thermometers provided by Con Edison). We are discussing ways we can conserve energy resources by lowering our hot water heaters. Next up...ways to conserve water.
