68 of the City's Finest 5th Grade Spellers Compete
The PEARLS Hawthorne School claimed bragging rights for the 2nd consecutive year when 5th grader Dylan C. was the last student standing at the conclusion of the 57th annual 5th Grade Spelling Bee, Monday, June 12, 2023. Read on for the word that spelled victory for this young man and his school.

39th Annual Academic Achievement Awards
The names of more than 1,000 high school students were inscribed in the Yonkers Public Schools Book of Honors as the Superintendent and Board of Education recognized their academic excellence during the 39th Annual All-City Academic Achievement Awards on Thursday, May 31, 2023.

Trustees Re-elect Rev. Lopez & Dr. Del Vecchio to Lead Board of Education
At the 142nd Annual Meeting of the Yonkers Board of Education on May 11, 2023, the Trustees re-elected Rev. Steve Lopez and Dr. Rosalba Corrado-Del Vecchio to serve as president and vice-president. Both will serve one-year terms in their leadership posts.

Yonkers Montessori Academy is a wonderful place for students from diverse backgrounds to grow educationally, get involved, and have a meaningful pre-kindergarten through high school experience.
The Yonkers Montessori Academy instructional program is rooted in the Montessori philosophy. The curriculum, course offerings, and extra-curricular activities are aligned with New York State Next Generation Standards. We strive to create an environment where each and every student is given the attention necessary to achieve his/her individual success.
