A moment of #SCIENCE please!

Please join us on Wednesday, February 11, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Lincoln High School, 275 Kneeland Avenue, for an informative Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) meeting.

All elementary science teachers, secondary science teachers, administrators, and #YonkersPublicSchools parents are most welcome!

Learn about the Grades 5 & 8 Science Tests, Regents exams, new lab investigations, New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS), and much more.

Parents will also get tips on supporting their students in science and preparing for state tests. New York State Education Department (NYSED) representatives will present, and light snacks will be provided.

Join us 2/9-13 for our Acts of Kindness week ! Each day brings a new way to show kindness ! Remeber to come to school everyday and if your caught showing an act of kindness , you will get a raffle ticket !

Eagle FEST is on February 7th at the Science Barge (9 am - 3 pm)! Last year they saw 20 different kinds of birds, including 8 Bald Eagles. There will be light refreshments and binoculars to share, and an expert birder from the Audubon Society.

Thank you, Yonkers Public Library, for the opportunity to learn with virtual reality technology today. Our 5th & 6th grade students loved the experience!

Beyond the square materials art trailer came to CHA for our 3rd graders to participate in learning how to use found objects and recycled objects . Students explored materials in the trailer and brought the objects back to the classroom to create art together .
