Hello Paideia 15 Learning Community,

I am reaching out on behalf of the Paideia 15 PTA Board to ask for your help! Our biggest fundraiser of the school year is starting on Wednesday, October 8th! Last year this fundraiser brought in roughly $8,000 with participation from only 40 families out of the entire school (500+). Can you imagine how much we could raise if even half of our school community was involved?

The proceeds from this fundraiser will make a tremendous impact and will allow us to continue to bring programs, events, materials, resources and all "the extras" to ALL students in our school. Some programs and events that are funded by our fundraising efforts include:

Scholastic magazine & supplemental materials for the entire school;

Science Dad;

Greenberg Nature Center;

Back to School BBQ;

Reptile Man;

Fall Fest events;

Frosty Playdate;

The Brain Show;

Crime Scene Investigation;

Dental Presentation;

Mobile Ed Productions: Forces & Motion;

Mobile Ed Productions: Earth Dome;

Field Day enhancements (Bubble Bus and supplies);

AND MORE TO COME!*

These are just some of the programs funded by the PTA. We would like to do even more, but it's only possible if we have more support from our families.

There is no physical inventory to manage and nothing that parents have to do--simply download the app from your mobile device, create a pop up store, and share with friends, family members, coworkers, etc. Our fundraising event code is DND DSJ.

Thank you so much for your partnership and support. Together, we can make this the most successful fundraiser yet!

Sincerely,

Amanda Innabi

President

Yankee Day @ P15
Dear 2M Families,

This morning, when I entered Ms. Meyer's second grade classroom to greet the students, I noticed a strange odor. Out of caution, I relocated the children to a well ventilated area while the District maintenance team inspected the classroom to ensure there was nothing potentially harmful.

After some investigating, the smell was from the leaf blower our custodian was using this morning. I am happy to report that the students were only out of the classroom for an hour and were able to return to their classroom after lunch. Thank you for your understanding and support. As always, reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

RE: Europe 2026

WHEN: 9/22 @ 6:00 p.m.

SUBJECT: Your student is invited – please RSVP

Dear 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Families,

When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure.

In this info session, we’ll talk about:

How this opportunity will benefit your student
What we’ll see and do on our trip
Everything that’s included in this experience
How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period. There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

Thanks

We’re thrilled to welcome Brenda Cardoza, the new Yonkers Public Schools Parent Coordinator! Ms Cardoza is a long-time advocate and trusted voice for our families. Her work will center on strengthening parent engagement and supporting our vulnerable student population, particularly those served under the McKinney-Vento Act, which addresses the needs of students experiencing homelessness. Welcome to our PK scholars!

Parents/guardians, you are welcome to stay with your PK child from 8:30-9:30 a.m. as they transition into their new school experience. This is entirely optional. You may also drop off their school supplies, however, please have their materials labeled with their name on it.

Dropping our little ones can be difficult for us parents too! If you don't hear from us, they are fine! See you all tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. through the lower-level doors on Manhattan Ave.

Ten young children smiling and posing together on a sunny day at the School 32 playground. Some hold up fingers making the V for Victory sign, while others beam with excitement. They are dressed in colorful summer clothes, and playground equipment and trees are visible in the background. The Yonkers Public Schools logo appears above the embedded text that reads: Start the Countdown! School Begins September 4
