Congratulations to our 3rd-8th grade PEARLS students for being selected to participate and winning awards in the 3rd annual "Are You G.A.M.E.?" Math Competition last week!
Out of 20,000+ students in the district, roughly 150 students were chosen to compete in this year's math competition. Our PEARLS representatives were Abraham Joseph (3rd grade), King Charles Masiglia Cabie (4th grade), Emmanuel Thomas (5th grade), Leanna Samnarine (6th grade), Sebastian Rodriguez (7th grade), and Aviva Maragal (8th grade). Students were tested on math fluency, precision, problem-solving, perseverance, and collaboration with IXL, the 24 number game, and roundtable exercises in groups with other students.
Each of our representative brought home an award!
