SPRING SPORTS PHYSICALS

Sports physicals for the Spring 2026 athletic season will be held on the following dates:

Tuesday, January 27, 2026

Monday, February 23, 2026

⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

All students interested in participating in spring sports must be prescreened by the school nurse prior to the physical dates. Prescreening is required so that an appointment can be scheduled.

Students who have not completed the nurse prescreening will not be able to receive a physical on these dates. Families are encouraged to contact the school nurse as soon as possible to ensure eligibility and secure an appointment.

Completing a sports physical is a required step for athletic participation—please plan accordingly.

YPS Indoor Track

On 12/17/25, the Yonkers Indoor Track team had their first meet of the season.

The Freshman/Sophomore meet took place at Rockland Community College.
The young athletes really impressed with great performances!
- Yonkers came in 2nd and 3rd in the 55 meter dash
- Sophomore Jayden Bailey came in 5th in the 600 meter run
- The girls 4 by 400 relay came in 4th place
- The girls 4 by 800 relay came in 3rd place
- The boys 4 by 800 relay came in 4th place

Congratulations to all the amazing individual performances as well.

Saunders Boys Basketball Home Opener Monday 12/8/25 - White Out Game!

Our Saunders Blue Devils Boys Basketball Team will host their Home Opener this Monday, December 8, 2025, as they take on the Gorton Wolves right here at Saunders Trades & Technical High School.

Game Schedule:
Varsity Boys: 4:00 PM Tip-Off
JV Boys: 5:45 PM Tip-Off

This will be a WHITE OUT game - fans are encouraged to wear white and bring the school spirit!

Student Spectator Guidelines:
- Open to Saunders & Gorton students only
- Student ID required for entry
- No student entry after 4:30 PM
