Learn about the Grades 5 & 8 Science Tests, Regents exams, new lab investigations, New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS), and much more.

We’re thrilled to welcome Brenda Cardoza, the new Yonkers Public Schools Parent Coordinator! Ms Cardoza is a long-time advocate and trusted voice for our families. Her work will center on strengthening parent engagement and supporting our vulnerable student population, particularly those served under the McKinney-Vento Act, which addresses the needs of students experiencing homelessness. Wednesday, September 17 5:00 pm
The last entry to the building will be 6:30 and Open House will end at 7 p.m.
Pre-K class parents will enter through their arrival doors.
Grades 1-4 including Ms. Meran and Ms. Serpa's classes will enter through the Main Door number 1
Grades 5-8 including SPED 4,5,6 classes will enter through the back security door located on Van Cortland Door number 7.
After a brief presentation on the new 1:1 device policy, parents will be allowed to visit classrooms. Please note the after school program as well as St. Joseph's will be available to have students sign up. Open House is for parents so if possible please do not bring students that night to limit the capacity as our school has grown. Thank you and have a great evening.

ARRIVAL PROCEDURES:
All students in grades K-8 enter through Main Entrance door #1. The doors will open at 7:15 a.m. for breakfast.
Breakfast will run from 7:15 a.m.- 7:35 a.m. Parents are not allowed in the building during this time. Students
arriving late must get a late pass from the security officer.

LATE:
If you drop off your child after 7:45 a.m. they will be considered late and enter through Lawrence St. entrance Door #1.

PRE-K
Pre-K arrival will take place at the classroom doors on Lawrence St. Doors 2,15,16.
All Pre-K students will have breakfast in the classrooms.

BUS STUDENTS:
Bus students will enter via Lawrence St. door #5.

DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:
Due to school safety regulations, parents will no longer enter the building for pick-up. Dismissal locations and
times will be based on grade level. They will now be at separate sides of the building to minimize traffic impact,
bus arrival and dismissal, and human congestion.
