Let’s celebrate three outstanding Yonkers student-athletes who have committed to compete at the collegiate level.
On College Football National Signing Day, let’s begin with Lawrence Iyalekhue, Roosevelt High School #ClassOf2026, who has signed to play Division I football at Boston College.
Pictured with the Yonkers Force powerhouse is his family, including his equally remarkable twin sister, Lauranta Iyalekhue, Yonkers High School #ClassOf2026, who recently committed to Division I volleyball at San Diego State University.
Rounding out this impressive trio is Nailah Searight, Saunders Trades & Technical High School #ClassOf2026. Nailah has committed to Jacksonville State University, another Division I school. An accomplished softball pitcher, she reached a major milestone last season with 300 strikeouts.
Boston College, San Diego State, and Jacksonville State are NCAA Division I (D1) universities, competing at the highest level of collegiate athletics.
