Yonkers Public Schools, in partnership with @FeedingWestchester, proudly opened El Mercadito Mayor, a brand-new community food pantry located inside Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School.
El Mercadito Mayor provides a safe, welcoming environment for families to access healthy and culturally relevant food, reinforcing the district’s commitment to meeting the needs of the whole child and ensuring every family has the support they need to thrive.
As part of Yonkers Public Schools’ commitment to building stronger community schools, El Mercadito Mayor marks one of many food pantries opening across #YonkersPublicSchools.
