We have revised our Picture Day schedule for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Wednesday, February 25: Picture Day for all 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students.
Thursday, February 26: Picture Day for all 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students
Friday, February 27: Picture Day for all prekindergarten and kindergarten students, make-ups and sibling pictures.
Picture order forms were sent home with students before the February break.
Attached are pictures of the order forms.
All Yonkers Public Schools and Central Office facilities are closed on Monday, February 23, 2026, due to the blizzard warning.
Only building custodians and snow removal team members should report.

Dodson's Valentine's Spirit Week concludes tomorrow!
Friday is Pajama Day for PreK - 6th grades.
The Valentine’s Day store has a few items left and will be open during lunch periods on Friday.
Prekindergarten Valentine's Day celebrations are at 8 am.
Grades 7 & 8 will have a Valentine's Day Dance.

Valentine's Day is on one week and we hope you can join us for a special prekindergarten celebration next Friday, February 13th at 8 am in our classrooms.
Please join us on Wednesday, February 11, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Lincoln High School, 275 Kneeland Avenue, for an informative Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) meeting.
All elementary science teachers, secondary science teachers, administrators, and #YonkersPublicSchools parents are most welcome!
Learn about the Grades 5 & 8 Science Tests, Regents exams, new lab investigations, New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS), and much more.
Parents will also get tips on supporting their students in science and preparing for state tests. New York State Education Department (NYSED) representatives will present, and light snacks will be provided.
The next distribution from the Robert C. Dodson School Pantry will be tomorrow, February 6th from 8 am - 12 pm.
All families that previously completed and submitted the Feeding Westchester Intake Form should plan to come to Dodson to get their food tomorrow between 8 am and 12 pm. You do not need to fill out paperwork again.
If you would like to join the food pantry at Dodson, please request a form from your child's teacher, fill it out and bring it on Friday. New members will be able to take food on tomorrow.

Please make sure your student wears or brings sneakers to school on physical education/gym days. Students must wear sneakers to participate in gym.
In addition, please label your child's clothing with their name, especially jackets, sweatshirts and sweaters. If you are missing items, please ask your child to check the lost and found in the cafeteria.
