Yonkers Arts Weekend

Dear PEARLS Families,

Please see the email below from the district regarding their school climate survey. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dear Families,

As part of Superintendent Soler’s commitment to families to increase community engagement, Yonkers Public Schools has recommitted itself to creating learning environments where every student feels supported, engaged, and empowered. We can’t do that without hearing from the people who know our schools best: our students and families.

From April 1 to April 29, students and families will participate in a short but meaningful anonymous survey about their learning experience. Unlike the district-wide survey you or your child may have completed in the past, this is school-specific, meaning the feedback will directly reflect your child’s school environment. It’s an opportunity for your child to share how they feel about their day-to-day experience – from classroom support to school culture.

The results will be used by your school’s leaders and teachers to better understand what students need and how to support them in the future. This is part of our commitment to ensuring that every student feels seen, heard, and valued.

Please do your part to complete the survey. Because this isn’t just a survey. It’s how real change begins.

Take the surveys here:

Thank you for being a vital part of this work. Your voice, and your child’s voice – helps shape the future of their school.

Important Announcement Regarding Afterschool Targeted Instruction
Superintendent Soler: “It’s a historic moment, welcoming these four incredible student representatives to the Yonkers Board of Education. These young leaders are stepping into an important role — not only as the voice of their own schools but as advocates for over 24,000 students. Their presence reminds us why we do this work. I look forward to hearing their perspectives, learning from their experiences, and working alongside them to move Yonkers Public Schools forward."
