2026 Fall Sports Information
FinalForms: Any student interested in participating in a Fall sport must first register online through FinalForms. FinalForms is the online registration system used by Yonkers Public Schools to collect athletic participation forms, parent/guardian approvals, emergency contact information, and required medical documentation.

Registration Dates: Registration will be open from July 26 through August 18. Both students and parents/guardians must create an account, and an updated physical must be uploaded in order for a student-athlete to be cleared for participation.

TRYOUT DATES
Football tryouts will begin on August 17. Tryouts for all other Fall sports will begin on August 24.
YPS SUMMER PHYSICALS
Yonkers Public Schools will also be offering sports physicals at multiple locations from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM throughout the summer. Student-athletes may attend any location, even if it is not the date assigned to the school they attend.

KNICKS DAY
We are excited to celebrate Knicks Day on Wednesday, June 3! Staff and students are encouraged to show their Knicks pride by wearing a Knicks jersey or Knicks colors. Let’s bring the energy, spirit, and excitement as we come together to support our hometown team!

LOCKER CLEAN OUT
Reminder: All students must clean out their school lockers and athletic lockers by the last day of classes. Any items left in lockers after that date will be discarded. Students will retain access to their assigned lockers when they return next school year.
This project allowed students to apply research, critical thinking, and investigative skills to real-world forensic science scenarios. Congratulations to the students for their hard work and thoughtful presentations, and thank you to the judges from the Yonkers Police Department and Mr. Greenblatt for their time, expertise, and support.
Please join us at 5:30 PM on Tuesday May 19, 2026 for the 3rd Annual Saunders Academic Awards Night. We will be honoring students who have been selected by their teachers for their drive, dedication and academic excellence. We will also recognize our Club 90 recipients and present awards to our outstanding Scholar-Athletes.
Saunders Varsity Softball:
Nailah Searight recorded her 600th career strikeout on May 13, 2026 and became the all-time strikeout leader in Saunders High School history. Congratulations Nailah on this incredible accomplishment! #SaundersStrong

FALL SPORTS PHYSICALS
Sports physicals for the Fall 2026 athletic season will be held on the following dates:
Friday May 15, 2026
Thursday May 21, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
All students interested in participating in fall sports must be prescreened by the school nurse prior to the physical dates. Prescreening is required so that an appointment can be scheduled.
Students who have not completed the nurse prescreening will not be able to receive a physical on these dates. Families are encouraged to contact the school nurse as soon as possible to ensure eligibility and secure an appointment.
Completing a sports physical is a required step for athletic participation—please plan accordingly.
2026 Saunders Sports Awards BBQ
The Saunders Sports Awards BBQ will be held on Tuesday May 26 at 5:00 PM in the Saunders High School gym.
All Saunders student-athletes are invited to attend and may bring up to four guests (family members only, please).
Cost:
$5 per athlete
$8 per guest
