Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten at Yonkers Early Childhood Academy. I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher and I know this will be an amazing year! A quick introduction, I have been a Kindergarten teacher for the past seven years and this will be my first year teaching Pre-Kindergarten at Yonkers Early Childhood Academy. For your child’s journey to be successful, it is essential for me to understand that each student is a unique individual with special qualities and needs. With the support of students and families, we will create a classroom environment that will recognize and respect individuality. To support each student’s learning, I will also incorporate a variety of meaningful teaching styles so that each child will have the opportunity to succeed. The children will grow and learn at their own rate. I invite you to play an active role in your child’s education by talking with your child about what they're learning each and every day at Yonkers Early Childhood Academy.

Each day your child will bring home his/her Take Home Folder. Your child’s Take Home Folder will contain his/her work for the day and also classroom letters or notes. Please make sure to check your child’s backpack daily for important letters and notes. This can be a hard habit to get started, but well worth it. I look forward to meeting and working with everyone this school year!
