    To provide for a safe and enjoyable holiday, Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano today announced that the Yonkers Police Department will issue a citywide curfew for children 16 years of age and younger on Halloween night – Tuesday, October 31.

    Mayor Mike Spano visited School 9 to encourage students to take Pledge 182, a campaign that promotes the importance of attending school every day and on time.

  •  Yonkers Safe Stop

    Yonkers Safe Stop

    Together with Mayor Mike Spano and the City of Yonkers, Yonkers Public Schools announced the implementation of a new school bus safety program, called Yonkers Safe Stop. Cameras have been installed on District school buses to effectively capture stop-arm events and reduce the number of violations and injuries caused by motorists who disregard the school bus stop-arm.
