 Initial Morning Activities & Phonics- 9:00am- 10:00am

Day 1-5: Students use a calendar to write an entry in a writing journal.

  Isolate initial Sound Uu- as in (umbrella- under-up-). Practice writing words on activity sheet.

Day 2:  Practice reading and writing sentences using 3 sight words       ( Spanish)

Day 3:  Practice reading and writing sentences using 3 sight words       ( English)

Day 4:  Letter Uu- Activity sheet (Spanish) Practice writing words on activity sheet

Day 5:  Read the Uu poem. Write and draw your favorite part of the poem.

Write a list of 5 words that begin in letter Uu.

Reading:  10am-11am

Day 1-5 Reading fluency practice and comprehension questions. Followed by Independent reading time. ( Direct parents to online Kindergarten ebooks library)

Day 1- Read and respond- Complete a story map

Day 2-  Character description- What is the character like ?

Day 3- Describe the setting( Where is the story happening/ When is the story happening.)

Day 4:  What is happening in the story- Beginning middle- end

Day 5. In your opinion what was your favorite book? Why?

Independent Reading Time 11am-11:30am( online ebook library)

Recess( exercise- movement/dance)/Lunch/quiet resttime11:30am-1pm

Day 1: What is your favorite book & why?? Draw it, label the pictures

Day 2: What is your favorite character & Why??? Draw it, label the picture

Day 3:  Describe the setting( the place and time/weather, season in one of the books you read today.

Day 4: Write 3 key details in the story you read today. Write complete sentences. Label the top of the page (Key Detail and the title of the book.)

Day 5: What happened at the end of the story? Complete beginning middle end sequence sheet.
